Privacy Policy

1. Information we handle

We handle the account details you provide, such as your name and email, and information you save in your profile and workspace. This may include educational background, country and grading context, college lists, deadlines, essays, activities, honors, advisor conversations, and feedback reports.

We also handle invitation and referral records, review usage, and payment-related identifiers and access status. Service providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, and service logs to operate and secure the service. Do not upload identity documents, payment-card details, or sensitive information that is unnecessary for your application review.

2. Why information is used

Information is used to operate your account, save your work, provide requested advisor feedback, organize your application, manage access and billing, support sharing choices, and investigate errors, abuse, or security issues. Advisor requests may include relevant saved application materials so feedback can consider your context.

3. Service providers and processing

Lovable Cloud provides account and workspace infrastructure. Requested advisor reviews are processed through Lovable’s advisor gateway and its model providers, including OpenAI. Relevant application material is sent to these providers to produce feedback. Stripe processes payments and related billing information; payment-card entry occurs through Stripe’s checkout.

These providers have their own privacy and processing terms. Request settings alone do not establish a provider’s retention period or training practices, and this policy does not promise that third-party processing is retention-free. Providers may process information outside your country; protections and available rights can differ by location.

4. Parent access and sharing

A parent invitation is bound to the verified invited email. Parent access is read-only and covers progress and deadlines. Essay text is excluded unless the student explicitly enables essay sharing. Students can change that choice or revoke access in Settings.

Sharing or downloading a report image is your choice. The committee and strategy image exports are designed to exclude private essay text and personal review passages. Anything you distribute outside colgrad is also subject to the recipient’s handling.

5. Storage, security, and retention

Workspace records are protected by account-scoped access controls. Authorized service processing and providers still need access to carry out requested operations. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Saved materials remain available for your workspace and report history. No fixed account-wide retention or backup-deletion schedule is specified here. Legal, billing, fraud-prevention, or security requirements may require some records to be retained after a deletion request. Contact us for information about a particular record or request.

6. Your choices and requests

You can edit supported profile and workspace information and manage parent sharing in Settings. To request access, correction, a copy, deletion, or information about processing, email main@colgrad.com from the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Rights and response requirements depend on applicable law.

Account-wide deletion and export are not currently self-service controls. A request is not an instant deletion of all provider logs or backups. Never send us your password or full payment-card details.

7. Students and children

colgrad is intended for college-application preparation, not use by children under 13. If you are a minor, involve a parent or guardian where local law requires permission. If you believe a child has provided information without required permission, contact main@colgrad.com so the situation can be reviewed.
