1. Private application materials
Your workspace is not a public gallery. Saved essays, drafts, activity lists, honors, conversations, and detailed feedback are accessed through your account and the service operations needed to provide requested functionality. Other students do not receive access to your private workspace through ordinary use of colgrad.
2. Processing your requests
When you request feedback, relevant materials are processed by colgrad’s service infrastructure and advisor providers. Authorized operational access may also be necessary for support, security, legal requirements, or investigating a service failure. This is not attorney-client, medical, or other legally privileged communication.
3. You control parent sharing
Invited parents receive read-only progress and deadline access after verifying the matching email. Essay sharing is a separate, optional permission and is off by default. You can revoke access in Settings. Revoking access does not erase copies a recipient may already have made.
4. Your words remain yours
You retain ownership of the application content you submit. Processing your content to provide the service does not transfer authorship to colgrad. Our advisor gives feedback, questions, and explanations; it does not write or rewrite essays or other application content for you.
5. Protecting access
Keep your login and invitation links private. Avoid including unnecessary personal information about yourself or others. If you believe access has been misused, revoke any affected sharing permission and contact main@colgrad.com. Absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed for any online system.
6. Relationship to the Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy explains categories of information, providers, retention limitations, and data requests. Read it alongside this policy. Contact main@colgrad.com with confidentiality concerns without sending your password or unnecessary sensitive material.
